Equations to use when max. line pressure is less than 2000 PSI At line pressures less than 2000 PSI the following equation should be used to seat
the DMRP packing ring and reform them to the stuffing box and stem. |

After the DMRP packing rings are reformed, the following equation can be used to maintain seal. |
||||||||||||||
Do not use less than 1800 PSI in any case. If stem friction is too high consider using fewer sealing rings. Equation to use when max. line
pressure is between 2000 and 4500 PSI |

Equation to use when max. line pressure is greater than 4500 PSI |
